HMS Leander was completed in 1963 as the first and name ship of the Leander Class Improved Type 12 General Purpose Frigates. HNLMS Zuiderkruis (1975-2012) was the second Fast Combat Support Ship of the

Royal Netherlands Navy. Primarily intended for Replenishment At Sea (RAS=UNREP operations) fueling Nl Task Group and NATO units. As a modern design Zuiderkruis enabled a “one stop replenishment” and carried also AVCAT, fresh water and

stores/spare parts. A helicopter deck facilitated VERTREP.

The ss ‘Australis’ was a well known ocean liner which entered

service in 1940 as the ss ‘America’ for the United States Lines.

The ship was sold to the Greek Chandris Lines in 1964 and

served until 1977 very successfully on the route Western-

The Van Amstel class is a former ship class of six frigates that served as destroyer escorts of the Bostwick or Cannon class of the United States Navy.
