Justin Dedier is geboren in Neuville-sous-Montreuil in Frankrijk. Maar waar komen zijn voorvaderen vandaan? De zoektocht brengt ons naar west-Vlaanderen. Westrozebeke, Langemark en Roeselare spelen hierbij een centrale rol. Uiteindelijk vinden we de stamvader, Jean Dedie genaamd, terug in Ieper.

Toen ik vroeger als klein meisje van een jaar of 7-8 achterin de auto zat bij mijn ouders als we naar Zwitserland gingen, zat ik altijd mijn nek te strekken en die prachtige enorme hoge stenen kolossen van de bergen te zien als we aankwamen.

Toen vroeg ik mezelf altijd al af hoe komen die hier en waarom wel hier en zijn wij een platlandje. Lang heb ik het mij afgevraagd maar enooit antwoord op gezocht. U kent dat wel geen tijd andere dingen te doen er was toen nog geen computer.

Beste lezer, van dit type boekje (met 32 gedichten) in je handen had ik er al 29 gemaakt. Van ervaring is dus wel sprake. Ervaring met zaken des levens in steeds dezelfde vorm te verpakken. Humor (hele aparte, moet je van houden), wereldgebeuren, spiritualisme, liefde en veel oppeppende woorden komen aan bod. O ik ben zo'n enorme goedzak dat geloof je gewoon niet.
