In 25 large pastel portraits Jimmy Groen shows a hidden world of aspects of identity, gender and identification during childhood. The drawings are based upon personal experiences and provide an unique insight in what might become in dissociative identity disorder from adverse experiences during childhood.

‘Super Saturation’ verwijst naar de verzadigde kleuren die Jasper Krabbé recent is gaan gebruiken. En ook naar de verzadiging aan beelden die via social media, nieuws en internet op ons afkomen. Hieruit distilleert Krabbé zijn schilderijen zorgvuldig. Hij omschrijft het zo: ‘De veelheid, snelheid en gelijktijdigheid waarmee gebeurtenissen nu zichtbaar worden, zijn ongeëvenaard en geven een nieuwe energie en vrijheid’.

Krabbé stuurt de kijker en wijst deze op vergeten hoofdstukken ...

Kijkend naar het verleden: een handvol 'noodwoningen', gebouwd in 1946 en gesloopt in 1967. Het Havendorp lag aan de Buitenhaven van Vlissingen en was voorzien van veel water, een voetbalveldje, het café De Boei, een kruidenier, de melkboer, het kleuterschooltje De Zonnebloem en zelfs een souvenierwinkeltje (ites wat ik sterk betwijfel).

Ook waren er de 'barakken' met de eerste lading Ambonezen die toen op grote schaal naar Nederland kwamen en hier in Vlissingen voet aan wal zetten.

Andre Schreuder, geboren in Delft in 1960, maakt figuratief werk .Meestal schilderijen, maar ook andere uitstapjes zijn hem niet vreemd. Zoals het maken van houten beeldjes, beschilderen van vazen. Een kenmerk is zijn kleur gebruik, vaste kleuren in harmonie en balans met elkaar. De onderwerpen in basis alledaags, maar vaak met een knipoog en diepere betekenis.
