Het was liefde op het eerste gezicht.
Rechts onder was alleen een "M" gesigneerd, en aan de achterzijde
stond vermeld: a la memoire de Manet 1884.
Het virus had zijn werk gedaan, een onmiskenbaar hoogwaardig
schilderij, met prachtige tinten geel en groen met een donkere bruine
achtergrond.
