Auteur Amit Biswas (Dhaka, Bangladesh, 1987) raakte na zijn vestiging in Nederland gefascineerd door het nieuwe logo van zijn woonplaats Eindhoven. Het inspireerde hem om informatie over alle logo’s en beeldmerken van alle gemeenten van Nederland te verzamelen wat geen geringe opgave bleek aangezien niet in alle gemeenten de benodigde informatie eenvoudig beschikbaar was. Hij heeft meer dan vier jaar geïnvesteerd in het onderzoeken en verzamelen van alle mooie verhalen van de gemeenten.
