Howard van Dodemont is geboren en getogen in Nijmegen. Hij begint zijn loopbaan als verpleegkundige. In die hoedanigheid werkt hij in de zorg rondom oncologie en Aids verpleging, de buddyzorg en alcohol en drugsverslaving. Als zijn ouders niet kijken, zegt hij altijd, kiest hij toch voor een loopbaan in het theater. Hij volgt verschillende theateropleidingen en studeert uiteindelijk Theaterwetenschappen aan de UVA. Na zijn studie werkt hij als acteur voor (musical-) theater, film en televisie...
