Enkhuizen is een van de oudste institutionele bibliotheken in Nederland die nog

steeds in situ wordt bewaard. Sinds het begin van de zeventiende eeuw bevindt

de collectie zich in de Westerkerk in Enkhuizen. De Librije is een belangrijk

boekwetenschappelijk monument, maar biedt ook een uniek venster op het

verleden van de stad.
