The Consolidated B-32 Dominator was a powerful American bomber used by the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. Notably, it holds the distinction of being the last Allied aircraft to see combat in the war, and its final mission also marked the last American airman to be killed in combat during World War II.

Developed in the 1960s by General Dynamics, the F-111 pioneered variable-sweep
wings, afterburning turbofan engines, and automated terrain-following radar for
low-level, high-speed ¿ight. Its design in¿uenced later variable-sweep wing aircraft,
and some of its advanced features have become commonplace. Being relatively
expensive to maintain amid post-Cold War budget cuts, the USAF elected to retire
its F-111 ¿eet during the 1990s.

The Van Amstel Class consists of six former U.S. Navy frigates that originally served as destroyer escorts for the Bostwick and Cannon classes. In 1950, these ships were loaned to the Royal Netherlands Navy as part of the Mutual Defense Assistance Program (MDAP). After more than a decade of service, they returned to the U.S. in 1967, where they were replaced by the more advanced Van Speijk class frigates.
