Pride and Prejudice is a novel, published in 1813, written by British novelist Jane Aus-ten. She began writing the original manuscript of Pride and Prejudice between 1796 and 1797, under the title First impressions (in particular because she wanted to em-phasize that they deliver so many prejudices. But a publisher did not find it good enough, so she reviewed it in 1811.
