Lydia Muijen has worked and lived both in the US and the Netherlands. In 2000 she acted in her first theatrical performance in Florida, where she was casted as Syra in the Merchant by Plautus. After having moved back to the Netherlands in 2001 she and six other friends set up a student based theatre group called ToCo. After having completed her MA and MSc she moved to Los Angeles.
