ALL THREE POEMS explore different sides to the Rumpelstiltskin archetype – the guesser in Eon peninsula embodies the idea of the trickster having a dose of their own medicine, the usurper in Yakar peninsula is a diabolus ex machina, but also a coward who crawls away after the damage is done, and finally, the sterile rogue in Jikrrah peninsula is a deus ex machina in spite of his reputation as a “rogue".

KING DRUSUS AND KING RAVUS spearhead the destruction of Norfell and divide its resources between their respective kingdoms, Faerun and Cann. The extant natives of Norfell turn to crime and mischief, wallowing in the sarcastic pungency of their new reputation as “settlers of the north”. Their actions are by no means purposeless, as they succeed in killing King Ravus and his Queen. Foundling Adorned is a five-scene narrativization of news of these royal deaths.
