The Dutch entry for the 60th edition of La Biennale di Venezia is provided by artist collective Cercle d'Art des Travailleurs de Plantation Congolaise (CATPC) together with artist Renzo Martens and curator Hicham Khalidi. De allereerste editie van de MarrakechBiënnale vond in 2005 plaats. Deze drietalige Noord-Afrikaanse biënnale brengt een divers programma van hedendaagse kunst, literatuur, performance en film, van zowel opkomende als al gevestigde kunstenaars.

De 5de editie van de Marrakech Biënnale kreeg als titel WHERE ARE WE NOW?, en presenteert werk van circa 90 internationale kunstenaars. Meer dan 30 kunstenaars hebben nieuw, site-specific werk gerealiseerd op locatie.
