Zuri woont samen met haar vader en moeder aan de rand van een groot bos. In de natuur voelt ze zich gelukkig en speelt ze samen met de dieren tussen de bloemen en bomen.

Op een mooie herfstdag wordt de rust in het bos plots verstoord door houthakkers. Wanneer Zuri ziet dat haar lievelingsappelboom in gevaar is, bedenkt ze een list om hem te redden en vertrekt ze naar het kasteel van de koning. Op haar tocht komt ze een oude bekende tegen die haar graag wil helpen.
